ring back to Athrun? Besides, the only reason why Athrun kept Meyrin around was
because he basically felt guilty for dragging Meyrin into his mess (he did try
to make her go to a safe place, but she refused, being afraid of being left
alone since she left everything she cared about *i.e. her sister* behind). And
the ending of the SE4 said it all: Athrun=ORB uniform, everyone else=ZAFT
uniform(s).
I also don't know how just a few gestures/scenes from the series provided any
indication that Athrun likes Meyrin either...I know Meyrin likes him, as
demonstrated by her following Athrun wherever he went, but as I've said earlier,
I don't see anything hinting for an Athrun and Meyrin pairing. I know there is a
relationship between them, I do not deny that, but it's more of a friend-friend
relationship (friend/acquaintance relationship). Besides, Athrun still cares
about Cagalli (and vice versa). They both understand the current circumstances
and chose to put their love on hold until the world becomes stable once again
(the ultimate sacrifice )
I really hope they do end up being together, and hopefully, the movie will show
that; then I can finally relax and put this issue behind me But as
many have said, it's up to the directors...so I hope they know what they're

peace that everyone wants. Just re-watch the series, watch the special editions,
read the GSD manga (The Edge) and you'll see that there isn't much evidence for
an Athrun and Meyrin pairing (I do not deny the fact that there is a
relationship between the two, no matter how small it may be; I just don't see
any "chemistry" between them, nothing that shows that Athrun likes
Meyrin the way she likes Athrun). But this is all based on my
opinion/interpretation of the series. After all, everyone is entitled to have
their own opinion right?

It is also true that Meyrin was there helping Athrun walk, and Athrun was under
the care of Meyrin, but it doesn't mean that Meyrin was the one who watched over
him 24/7. Kira or Lacus could have watched over Athrun sometimes too (or
Miriallia, or some other crew member). Even Cagalli watched over Athrun during
the time he was unconscious. There's lots of possibilities here, not just
one
Cagalli took off the ring because she
figured that her duty at that time was more important than her love life. Her
duties to ORB are important during this critical time, so her love life had to
wait. It doesn't mean that the engagement is off. In SE 4, she was seen taking
off the ring (with a very sad expression on her face, meaning that she didn't
want to do this, but she felt that she had to...for now). Athrun even understood
the meaning behind that. As stated in a post above by NeptuneBlue, Athrun said
that he was okay with it and was willing to wait (episode 45 I believe). In the
Edge manga, told in Athrun's POV, it indicated that the relationship between
AthrunxCagalli is real and still ongoing; it's just that at that time (during
the war), they had to put their love aside until their dreams become a reality.

towards eachother, unlike KiraxLacus. Plus AthrunxCagalli have gone through

relationships that exist in real life. AthrunxCagalli belong with each other;
can't imagine them being with anyone else. Their relationship also adds
significance to the series as well: coodinator-natural bond, doesn't that give
the world hope that naturals and coordinators can co-exist peacefully?

relationship is different from the other couples, and it's also very significant to the series too; it shows that a
Coordinator and a Natural can co-exist peacefully (and even love each other

pretty upset if these two broke up And

chinese or japanese songs. I don't know why, but it does make me feel better

music, and now, I've also taken a liking to J-pop too But
then again, I also listen to Korean and Chinese music, despite the fact that I
don't understand the language (well except for chinese *cantonese* , I'm
chinese, but don't understand the language very well ^^;;) I find many of the
anime songs that I listen to quite catchy and lovely (i.e. the music in FMWS,
